Lyon-based architecture studio AUM decided to push the envelop of design when they convinced their client to build this White Snake House on a lake rather than the middle of a nearly 100-acre oak forest. Sitting atop the lake in a "L" shape that gives it its name, the house is raised above water level via a series of piles that connect to a white concrete floor slab -- some become pillars extending to the roof slab.
